Application Instructions
- Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust and debris.
- Freshly applied bitumen coatings should be allowed to weather for at least 3 – 5 days prior to the application of Aluminium Paint (Contractors Grade).
- For use on Roofing Felt it is recommended you prime the surface prior to applying the first coat of Aluminium Paint (Contractors Grade).
- STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE
Note: The appearance of a silver film on the surface of the paint after a short period of stirring does not signify that the paint is thoroughly uniform. It is advisable to stir for several minutes to ensure complete dispersion. Preference should be given to mechanical stirring.
- Two coats should be applied, the first being allowed to dry before application of the second. To avoid bronzing it is important that Aluminium Paint (Contractors Grade) is not applied too thickly. Do not brush excessively as this can cause softening of the substrate.
- The presence of moisture on the surface of rain falling before the Aluminium Paint (Contractors Grade) has dried can also cause bronzing.
- Do not use in temperatures less than +5°C.
