ColourPicker Explained

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

Teamac Trawlak Fishroom Preserve

The shellac-based fishroom preservative is a specialised coating formulated for the fishing industry, offering superior protection and durability in harsh maritime environments. Its unique quick-drying formulation creates a hard, amber finish that not only seals wood effectively but also resists knots and stains, preserving the appearance and integrity of wooden and steel surfaces.

This product is particularly effective in environments where moisture and salt exposure are prevalent, such as fishrooms on trawlers. When applied in multiple coats, it delivers a robust, glossy finish that withstands the rigours of maritime conditions.

Application and Usage

This preservative is designed for use on both wood and steel surfaces. It is ideal for trawler fish rooms, wooden fish crates, and pallets, where its quick-drying nature allows for rapid reapplication, making it highly efficient for professional use. The product is easy to apply using a brush, with a recommended recoat time of 3 hours, ensuring a smooth and consistent finish. The final coating is hard and glossy, providing long-lasting protection.

Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application. Adequate ventilation must be provided during application and drying to ensure safety and optimal results.

Apply using a brush with Thinners 6 for optimal results.
Allow a minimum of 3 hours between coats.
Do not apply in confined spaces without proper ventilation.
Avoid use on surfaces that are not free from grease, oil, or other contaminants.

Health and Safety

The product is classified as highly flammable and may cause serious eye irritation. It should be kept away from heat, sparks, and open flames. Proper protective gear, including gloves and eye protection, should be worn during application. If inhaled or if it comes into contact with the eyes, seek immediate medical attention. This product is restricted to professional or industrial use and should not be used by untrained personnel.
