Axalta ViterLac ACV Finish is a single pack, alkyd high gloss finish for spray application with very fast drying properties for steel substrates.
- Use where a fast-drying durable industrial gloss finish is required
- Fast drying minimises dust contamination to give a durable high gloss finish
- For use as a finish coat over ViterPrime 035 and other alkyd primers
- Suitable for agricultural and earth moving equipment and general use
- Can be electrostatically sprayed with suitable modification
- Hard Dry in approximately 1.5hrs at 23°C
- Available in a wide colour range of RAL and BS shades
- Indefinitely overcoatable
- Please Note: Colours tinted on a White base are only available in a 5L pack size. When using the colour picker, Price Bands 1 and 2 will show colours tinted on a White base, Price Bands 3 and 4 are for all other tintable colours

Surface Preparation
- This product is a finish coat and should be applied over an appropriate primer and/or intermediate coat
- All surfaces to be coated should be dry and cleaned as necessary to remove all oil, grease, salts, weld flux or other contamination
Mixing
- Must be mixed thoroughly by using a mechanical agitator before use
- Agitate periodically to ensure paint remains homogeneous

Application Conditions
- Only apply in conditions of good ventilation which must be maintained during drying and curing
- Do not apply when rain, mist, sleet or snow are imminent
- During application and drying time of the paint coating, the surface should be dry, the relative humidity should not exceed 85% and the steel temperature should remain at least 3°C above the dew point
- Paint temperature should ideally be at a minimum of 15ºC
Application Methods
- Airless Spray: Output fluid pressure at tip 2000 psi min., Tip Size 11-13 thou (0.28-0.33 mm)
- Conventional spray: Typical air atomising pressure 40-60 psi. Will require thinning to 25-35 seconds @ 25ºC through a BS B4 Flow Cup
- Application by brush is recommended for touch up only as product is very fast drying. For brush application, ViterLac ABV is recommended
- Dependent on temperature, the material may require thinning up to 10% with 1006 Thinner
Product Notes
- Overcoating - this product goes through an intermediate period where wrinkling by subsequent application may occur. Overcoat before the lowest time shown, or leave until after the highest time shown, in order to allow adequate through drying
- Do not apply over white spirit based products. The compatibility of overcoating products should be confirmed prior to application
- Some shades may contain lead based colourants, and these are labelled (L)
- Not recommended for immersion
- For best opacity use a primer or undercoat of a suitable shade
