Description

Tor Torrex Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti, a durable water based anti-graffiti flame retardant finish. For use over low risk existing multi-layered painted surfaces to reduce the spread of flame in communal areas in the event of a fire.

Two coats of Torrex Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti will convert 12 coats of conventional water based coatings to Class 0 when tested to BS476 Parts 6 and 7.

Features & Benefits


  • Two coats of Torrex Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti will convert 12 coats of conventional water based coatings to Class 0 when tested to BS476 Parts 6 and 7
  • Must only be applied to surfaces which have good adhesion and have been previously coated with conventional water based coatings
  • Two-pack pigmented polyurethane coating containing flame retardants
  • Water-based
  • Brush or roller application
  • 40% volume solids
  • Very low VOC
  • Good coverage of up to 12 square metres per litre
  • 1,600+ colours in RAL, RAL Design, BS, NCS and the new NCS 2050 shades
  • Limitations:
    • Weakly bound matt painted surfaces should be consolidated by applying one coat of Tor Surface Sealer EM337 before applying Tor Flame retardant anti-graffiti
    • Torrex Flame Retardant anti-graffiti must be applied at the specified spreading rate
    • Torrex Flame Retardant anti-graffiti can only be applied over sound well adhered multi-layered paint surfaces. Adhesion checks must be carried out before specification of the system
    • If a primer is required (eg. for spot priming) use Aqualife Multi-surface primer EM367
    • Do not apply and/or allow to dry at temperatures below 5℃
    • Do not apply if condensation is likely to occur
    • Drying times will be extended if temperature falls below 10℃
