Rust-Oleum Fillcoat Fibres Repair Kit - Elastic Multi-Surface Waterproofing
This waterproofing solution offers an instantly waterproof elastic paint, enhanced with crack-bridging fibres for use on various structures such as roofs, non-walkable terraces, gutters, ridge-pieces, chimney stacks, and pipes. Its bitumen-free formula ensures superior UV resistance and hydrophobic properties, making it suitable for a wide range of outdoor applications. The product's excellent adhesion to numerous substrates and its versatility in all weather conditions make it a reliable choice for professionals.
Application and Usage
Before application, ensure surfaces are free from dust, mud, grease, moss, and withered leaves. Clean the areas to be repaired with a hard broom and sponge. The product can be directly applied to bituminous substrates, hard PVC, polyester, zinc, aluminium, glass, and tiles. For porous materials such as concrete, stone, and wood, dry and pre-treat the surfaces with Primer 44HS. In cases of repeatedly repaired spots or significant cracks, apply the product crosswise over the cracks for optimal results.
Important Notes
This product should not be applied to polystyrene insulation or new concrete (concrete must be at least 2 years old). Avoid using it as a priming coat under Dac Hydro Alu. Always refer to the downloadable data sheet for more detailed information and application guidelines.

Euan Ross on 2023-10-27 09:28:25 | Question:
Hi Can Rust-Oleum Fillcoat Fibres Repair Kit be used to seal a plastic roof vent in my static caravan roof with a pantile plastic roof. Also can a previous attempt to seal with silicon be painted over without removing it before application |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This product isn't compatible for use over silicone. The silicone would need to be removed in it's entirety to be considered for this type of application.
nigel on 2021-09-30 16:50:46 | Question:
Can this product be used on rust and cracks on steel narrowboat roof? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Yes, Rust-Oleum Fillcoat Fibres Repair Kit may be used for this purpose, depending on the size of the cracks and how large the “damaged” area is will determine the effectiveness of this.
This product can repair holes or cracks upto 2mm.
This would require the steel to be thoroughly de-rusted first of all.

Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Mark Evans on 2020-04-15 15:45:52 | Question:
Hi Can localised repairs on a corrugated steel roof then safely be painted over with Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde Pegarust? Thanks |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Due to Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde Pegarust being solvent based we cannot recommend this for application over Rust-Oleum Fillcoat Fibres Repair Kit. For this application we can recommend Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde.
Neil McGeoch on 2020-01-13 20:01:16 | Question:

Jes on 2019-12-19 15:20:56 | Question:

Kevin Stockford on 2019-10-26 11:24:52 | Question:
Can I use this product to seal a water leak on a join across the top of a caravan and does it dry white |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Yes the product could be used for the application you have described but Rust-Oleum Fillcoat Fibres Repair Kit is Dark Grey in colour. If you require a product white in colour we would instead suggest Britannia Aquashield High Build which can be used in conjunction with Britannia Reinforcing Scrim if required.
Roland on 2019-07-11 13:57:59 | Question:
Can this product be used on flat roof covered with rubber lining materials |

colin stewart on 2019-05-06 12:26:24 | Question:
Can this product be used to seal cracks in corrugated Asbestos roofing AND from the INSIDE ?? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This product would be for use on the exterior (top side) of the roof only and the surface (after cleaning in accorandce with local regulations) would first need to be primed with Rust-Oleum Mathys Primer 44 HS. If you the wished to encapsulate the interior, underside of the roof to seal isolated asbestos fibres and prevent release you could use Thermoguard Asbestos Encapsulating Coating.
Debra on 2018-07-10 14:19:10 | Question: Can I use this product on concrete gutters to seal them |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Yes, however porous materials (concrete, stone, wood) must first be dried and pre-treated with a coat of Rust-Oleum Mathys Primer 44 HS.
trevor on 2018-06-25 11:08:57 | Question: can i use rust-oleum fibre kit on my corrugated steel roof to repair a leak and how long would it likely last |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Yes, Rust-Oleum Fillcoat Fibres Repair Kit may be used for this purpose, obviously depending on the actual source of the leak, and how large the “damaged” area is will determine the effectiveness of this. In terms of longevity we would estimate approximately five years, but this would require the steel to be thoroughly de-rusted first of all.
m jones on 2018-06-12 09:39:36 | Question: Good Morning .... I have a slate water feature in my garden and the water compartment has sprung a leak .... would Rust-Oleum Fillcoat Fibre Repair kit solve the problem and if so can I paint it onto the inside of the tank? Thank you. |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: We would suggest that the Fillcoat Fibres could offer a short term solution for this issue. However, we are presuming there has been some kind of structural failure (hence “springing a leak”) and without knowing more about that, we cannot advise how effective the Fillcoat Fibres will be, or for how long.
Craig Bell on 2018-02-03 20:15:41 | Question: Rust-Oleum Fillcoat Fibres Repair Kit. Can this be used to repair flat fibreglass roof? Thanks |
