Coo-Var Profloor Plus
This two-pack epoxy floor paint is specifically formulated for areas subjected to heavy wear and chemical exposure. Its low viscosity and solvent-free formulation make it an excellent choice for environments where odour sensitivity is important. Suitable for use on various substrates, including concrete, wood, and metal, this product is versatile enough for both industrial and commercial applications, such as factories, garages, stadiums, and public spaces.
Available in multiple colours, it offers both durability and an aesthetic gloss finish that enhances the longevity and appearance of floors.
Application & Use
Before applying the product, ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and free from contaminants. For concrete, the surface must be mechanically roughened for a better bond. A primer, such as Coo-Var High-Performance Primer, is recommended for smooth or porous surfaces, while Coo-Var Dampshield or Oil Tolerant Primer may be used for surfaces prone to moisture or oil exposure.
For metal surfaces, use Teamac 2 Pack Zinc Phosphate Primer before applying this epoxy. The product should not be applied on surfaces with temperatures below 10°C or on floors where high humidity may interfere with curing. Use disposable equipment for ease of clean-up and always ensure adequate ventilation in enclosed spaces.
Benefits
- Highly resistant to abrasion and chemicals, perfect for high-traffic and industrial settings.
- Solvent-free and low odour, making it suitable for enclosed areas or spaces sensitive to fumes.
- Dries to a tough, durable gloss finish, available in a wide range of colours.
- Can be used with anti-slip additives for additional safety on walkways and ramps.
Restrictions and Limitations
This product should not be applied to unprepared surfaces or in areas prone to heavy moisture unless a primer is used. Ensure that the concrete is fully cured, which may take up to 3 months for new surfaces. Avoid using the product in temperatures below 10°C as this may affect drying and curing. For best results, follow all surface preparation guidelines strictly.
Recommended Products
For surfaces requiring extra preparation, we recommend the Coo-Var Acid Etch for concrete, or the Coo-Var Oil Tolerant Primer. Refer to the relevant technical data sheets for full details on these primers.
Always consult the downloadable data sheet for further information.

Questions
Question about the product
Chris Anderson on 2017-05-15 12:02:07 | Question:
I have recently painted my factory floor with coo-var profloor plus.
The paint is subject to heavy traffic including fork lift trucks driving on it.
So far the paint is holding up well but has only been down for a week and is very dirty including marks from the fork lift truck tyres.
What is the best method of cleaning the paint? I am looking for something which is effective but non-damaging to the paint.
Thanks
