Hempadur Easy 47700 is a high-build, pure epoxy coating which cures to a hard and tough coating with good resistance to abrasion and seawater, intended for all year application down to -10°C [14°F] and for applications where fast recoating and handling is required.

Recommended as a self-primed, heavy-duty coating or intermediate coat for immersed and non-immersed areas exposed to abrasion and corrosive climate such as cargo holds, ship hulls, working decks or steel structures where low VOC, fast drying and high film build are required
EC-type examined as a low flame spread material when used as part of a predefined paint system
Complies with US FDA and EU food regulations for contact with liquid and dry foodstuff

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

Note: If brush or roller application is used, more coats will be necessary to achieve the specified dry film thickness. Spray data are indicative and subject to adjustment. Pressure is for a material temperature of 20°C.

Product may be specified in another film thickness than indicated depending on purpose and area of use. This will alter spreading rate, drying and curing time and overcoating interval. For best performance, avoid excessive film thickness.

Epoxy coats have an inherent tendency of chalking in outdoor exposure. This does not affect the performance of the coating

Overcoating

Hempel’s specification supersedes any guidelines indicated in the product data sheet. Overcoating times are indicative for products of the same generic chemistry.
