Rust-Oleum Speed Screed - Concrete Floor Screed
Speed Screed is a durable, single-pack product designed to smooth uneven, damaged, or worn concrete floors. It is easy to apply and ideal for all users, offering high mechanical strength and a low odour formulation.
Application and Usage
Speed Screed is perfect for a variety of concrete floor applications. Whether you're resurfacing an industrial floor or repairing a damaged area, Speed Screed provides a quick and reliable solution.
- Pourable and easy to spread.
- Foot traffic possible after 6 hours.
- Fully cured within 24-36 hours.
- Suitable for use in temperatures between 5°C and 25°C.
Surface Preparation
Ensure the concrete surface is clean, dry, and free of loose material and contaminants. New concrete should be at least four weeks old before application. For best results, use ND14 Cleaner/Degreaser to remove oil and grease.
Mixing and Application
Mix the resin and powder components thoroughly to achieve a uniform consistency. Apply the mixture onto the prepared surface and spread with a trowel. Use a spiked roller immediately after application to remove air bubbles and ensure an even finish.
- Mixing time: 3-5 minutes.
- Application tools: trowel, spiked roller.
- Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C or above 25°C.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean tools and spills with water before the product cures. Once cured, Speed Screed is inherently anti-slip and can be cleaned with standard detergents or degreasers.

Questions
Question about the product
Marc on 2021-12-27 17:44:27 | Question:
I've got 3 small rooms that were joined together but there is a floor height difference between each of them (would be 25mm to build up the lowest floor first to the middle level and then another 25mm to make them all level with the highest floor level). Would this product be suitable? ta |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This screed is designed to be applied in 3 to 15mm depths per coat, while this could be used assuming the floor is compatible, clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet SikaScreed HardTop 60 would be a more suitable option. This can be applied upto 80mm deep per layer.
Robert McAvoy on 2020-02-18 12:42:51 | Question:
Can B95SL be applied straight on to the speed screed, or is there a primer needed |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We would usually recommend priming with Rust-Oleum 5401 Epoxy Impregnation Primer prior to application of Rust-Oleum B95SL Flexible Self Levelling Epoxy.
