Description

Rust-Oleum Speed Patch Pourable Grade - High Performance Concrete Repairs

Speed Patch Pourable Grade is a high-performance, single-pack repair solution designed for quick and efficient concrete repairs. Whether you need to fix deep holes or shallow cracks, this versatile material sets rapidly, allowing for heavy traffic just two hours post-application. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, it is the perfect solution for industrial and professional repair projects.

Features and Benefits

  • Easy to Mix: Add water and mix for a smooth, pourable consistency.
  • Fast Setting: Ready for heavy traffic in just two hours, minimizing downtime.
  • Temperature Resilient: Can be applied at low temperatures, down to 5°C.
  • Versatile Depth Application: Suitable for repairs ranging from 5mm to 100mm in depth.
  • High Compressive Strength: Offers a robust repair solution with 45 MN/m² compressive strength.
  • Environmentally Conscious: Complies with environmental regulations and does not contain harmful substances.

Application Instructions

Ensure the substrate is clean, free of oil or contaminants, and that any loose material is removed. For the best results, edges of the repair area should be cut to avoid feather edging in heavy traffic zones. Mix the powder with water in the provided bucket, creating a pourable slurry. Pour immediately into the repair area, allowing it to self-level. Avoid re-stirring as this may weaken the repair.

Usage Restrictions

Speed Patch Pourable is designed for use on concrete surfaces and should not be used on sloping floors or exposed edges due to its pourable nature. Do not apply at temperatures below 0°C. For detailed application instructions and safety measures, always refer to the downloadable data sheet.

Recommended Products

For surface finishing, consider using suitable floor paints post-application. Ensure thorough mixing and correct application techniques for optimal results. Always check the compatibility of any additional products with Speed Patch Pourable Grade.

Question:
Hi, we have purchased the speed patch pourable do we have to mix the whole batch at once or can we mix small amounts? regards Andy Eagles
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Directions for Use

Remove the bag of powder from the plastic bucket and use the empty bucket or other suitable container for mixing. To achieve a pourable mix, add 3 parts of powder to one part of water (by volume). Due to the short working life of the mixed product, we recommend you carry out the mixing near to the repair, not near to the water source. It’s also useful to have a bucket of water nearby, so you can quickly immerse and clean the tools after use. Put the water into the empty bucket or container and gradually add the powder stirring constantly to achieve a pourable slurry. For small quantities mix by hand using a flat bladed tool such as a spatula, and for larger quantities use a mixer fitted into a slow speed electric drill. Do not add excessive water or drying time will be extended and the performance may be impaired. As the mixture hardens quickly, pour the Speed Patch Pourable into the hole to be repaired immediately. We do not recommend re-stirring as this could potentially weaken the final repair. Do not mix more than you can use within a few minutes (5 - 10 minutes at 20°C). The remaining powder can be stored for future use.

Application

When a smooth consistency is achieved, simply pour Speed Patch in to the hole. If the product has been properly mixed it will self-level and will need minimal trowelling. Speed Patch Pourable can be applied in any depth between 5 mm and 100 mm. Repairs in lightly trafficked areas can be feather edged, but thin edges are not recommended for medium or heavily trafficked repairs.
