- Low VOC content (<500 g/l), compliant with 2010 regulations, reducing environmental impact and providing safer indoor air quality.
Application Instructions
Before applying the varnish, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Sand new wood to provide a smooth key, and lightly sand between coats for optimal adhesion. The product is best applied with a brush or roller, and multiple coats may be required depending on the surface. Avoid applying in humid or cold conditions, as this can affect the drying time and overall finish.
Limitations and Restrictions
Polyurethane varnish should only be used on interior wooden surfaces. Do not use on external surfaces or areas exposed to high moisture levels, such as bathrooms. Avoid using it on non-wooden surfaces, and ensure proper ventilation when applying. The product is flammable, so keep it away from heat sources and open flames during use and storage. Follow safety instructions closely, including wearing protective gear to avoid skin contact.

John on 2020-04-22 09:56:10 | Question:
Can i use the Polyutethane varnish over painted stairs as a protective coat? They stairs have been painted using Dulux Trade Satinwood White paint. I just want to protect the paint from chipping off under impact. Stairs are internal. Thanks John |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming you test a small area prior to full application for compatability this could be used in this application. Existing painted surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose, flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate then prepare accordingly. | |
