Teamac Industrial Floor Paint
Our industrial floor paint is a high-performance, single-pack solution designed to deliver a durable, semi-gloss finish to various surfaces, including masonry, wood, cement, and concrete. This paint is particularly well-suited for environments where high durability and easy maintenance are essential.
Application & Use
The paint is easy to apply using a brush or roller, with a recommended recoat interval of 16 hours at 20°C. It’s designed for industrial use, where a resilient and visually appealing finish is necessary. The semi-gloss finish not only enhances the aesthetics of the floors but also contributes to the longevity of the surface, making it resistant to wear and tear.
Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application. For best results on concrete, consider roughening the surface mechanically or using an acid etch solution before applying the paint.
Key Benefits
- High durability suitable for industrial environments
- Easy application with brush or roller
- 16-hour recoat time for efficient project completion
- Complies with environmental VOC regulations
Restrictions and Limitations
It is important to note that this paint should not be used in confined spaces without adequate ventilation. Avoid applying it on surfaces that are exposed to extreme temperatures or chemicals, as this may affect its performance. Do not apply on damp surfaces, and always use appropriate personal protective equipment during application to avoid inhalation of vapours.
Recommended Complementary Products
For best results, consider using Teamac’s primers on bare wood or metal surfaces before applying the floor paint. Additionally, for rough concrete surfaces, use an acid etch solution like Coo-Var Acid Etch to prepare the surface for better adhesion.

Questions
Question about the product
Sarah on 2022-05-12 14:41:51 | Question:
Hi How many coats would you recommend for a light industrial unit, only foot fall and the odd pallet truck. It is to cover a concrete floor. |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming the concrete floor is bare, clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we would recommend three coats with the first coat thinned 10% with Teamac Thinner 14.
Richard on 2020-02-06 15:09:09 | Question:
Hi, Can a sealer can be used over this product to provide more protection and a glossier finish? If so what can you recommend? thanks |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Rust-Oleum 4900 Polycoat 2K can be applied over existing painted surfaces and is available in a full gloss finish. As it is a 2 pack polyurethane it will be much more durable than the single pack Industrial Floor Paint. We would recommend a test area be undertaken to ensure adhesion.
amy on 2019-05-19 13:33:57 | Question:
is this product water or oil based? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Solvent based. | |
Lynda weston on 2019-05-05 09:47:33 | Question:
Can I paint my kitchen floor with this paint? Thanks |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Teamac Industrial Floor Paint could be used on your kitchen floor but isn't necessarily a product we would really recommend. The industrial coatings we offer are there to protect the substrate they have been applied to but won't stay looking perfect over time as they will scuff mark and scratch. For a more durable system and assuming the floor is concrete we'd recommend applying a minimum 2 coat application of Rust-Oleum Mathys Pegakote followed by a coat of Rust-O-Thane 9200 Handy Pack in clear for protection.
Roy on 2019-03-03 11:07:33 | Question:
Could this be used on decking. |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Yes, however it wouldn't be our first choice for decking and may only last a relatively short period.
Claire on 2019-01-23 22:56:09 | Question:
Would this be suitable to seal a Concrete garage floor and would it be okay to put carpet tiles on top of it (to use as office). Carpet tiles would not go on until thoroughly dry of course ! Many thanks, Claire |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Yes, as long as the coating was allowed to fully cure before over laying with the carpet tiles.
Allan on 2018-06-27 17:08:36 | Question:
Can I use it on my concrete drive which is under a carport , it was painted once before but is wearing off. |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
No, we would instead recommend Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat.
Nicola coe on 2017-09-02 14:54:25 | Question:
Hi,
does this paint need a sealant on top of it if it's being used in a bathroom?
thanks.
Nikki
|
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We don't recommend this product be used in a bathroom at all.
