Tor Unicover EMF is a one pack smooth high solids water based masonry coating containing an elastomeric acrylic polymer system incorporating inert pigments, high quality extenders and anti-mould agents.

Tor Unicover EMF offers high performance decoration and weatherproof protection of masonry, particularly effective for bridging/sealing of hairline cracks. High elasticity of the binder permits breathability without flaking or cracking. It also offers excellent resistance to biological attack.

Class 0 Fire rating may be achieved when applied to a non-combustible substrate that has been previously painted with a maximum of 8 coats of masonry paint.

Available in over 1,400 colour options, including RAL, BS & NCS.

• Touch dry in 1 hour @20°C, hard dry in 3 hours @20°C
• Good theoretical coverage of up to 9 square metres per litre (smooth surfaces)

Surface Preparation

Bare Surfaces:

• Apply over suitably prepared, clean, dry sound surfaces that are free of mould & mildew and have been primed/stabilised with Tor Surface Sealer Solution EM337

Previously Painted Surfaces:

• Ensure surface to be painted is clean, dry, sound and free of any surface contamination such as mould, mildew, dirt etc.
• Remove any loose, failing or unsound paint back to a firm feathered edge
• Treat any surface mould with Tor Torkill W Fungicidal Solution, in accordance with product recommendations
• Clean surfaces with Torstrip WDA10 Wash Down Agent where required, in accordance with product recommendations
• Ensure substrate is completely dry before painting, maximum moisture content of 16%
• Fill any areas required with a proprietor filler before applying the paint system

Application Details

Drying Times

Note: Drying/curing times will be shortened by higher temperatures and lengthened by lower temperatures

Storage & Handling

Store in a safe place out of the reach of children. Protect from frost.

Flash point

• Non-flammable

Shelf life

• 3 years in unopened containers in frost free conditions

Limitations

• Material in storage and freshly applied film must be protected from frost
• Do not apply if temperature falls below 5°C or when relativity humidity exceeds 85% or rainfall is imminent
• Do not apply if the freshly applied paint is likely to be affected by frost, rain, fog, snow etc before the coating has had a chance to fully cure

Health & Safety

• A copy of the appropriate Health & Safety Data Sheet should be consulted prior to using the product
• Minimum precautions for all paints:
  • Avoid skin and eye contact i.e. wear gloves, goggles, etc
  • Ensure good ventilation, mechanical if necessary
  • Store and use away from heat and flame
  • Do not eat or smoke in the vicinity of work
  • Wash hands before eating
  • Refer to supply container for additional warning labels
