Features & Benefits
- Designed for the removal of groundwater from basement cavity drainage membrane systems
- System comprises of a polyethylene chamber, locking access cover (pedestrian duty, not suitable for roadways), two powerful submersible pumps, internal pipework, high level alarm and a battery backup system
- Versatile, enabling the installer to locate inlets to their specifications
- Battery incorporated within the panel to power itself in case of mains power failure
- Designed to activate via a float switch, which is located inside the chamber, it is set to activate higher than the activation point of the primary pump
- The UPS 3000/2000 battery backup system is a high performance Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) offering the highest levels of resilience and protection. This will provide power to one submersible pump in case of a loss of mains power allowing for continued pump operation
- The UPS 3000/2000 system can operate continuously for 30mins based on a 3.5m head of 1no EA33 pump
The AquaSafe Alarm panel is designed to alert the end user when there is:
- A power failure to the AquaSafe Alarm
- A high level situation in the chamber/sump
- A high level situation recorded
- A service due
Application Notes
- For full application instructions see the relevant installaton method statement
- The chamber is manufactured from polyethylene and as such is extremely robust. However, as with any preformed chamber they are susceptible to floatation and hydrostatic pressures exerted in high water table conditions. Therefore must always be fully supported by a concrete base and surround. The chamber is only suitable for installation to a maximum of 300mm deeper than supplied from finished floor level
- Only qualified personnel should carry out the installation in accordance with the latest IET wiring regulations BS7671. All works should be in line with the Health and Safety at Works Act 1974
- It is extremely important that once the chamber has been installed, before the pump is installed, the system is flushed through and all sand, silt, rubble and general debris removed from the chamber. Failure to do this will invalidate the warranty on the pumps
- Please refer to the AquaSafe Alarm Installation & Operating Guidelines for installation of the Aquasafe Alarm. The maximum recommended distance of the AquaSafe Alarm to the chamber is 50 metres
- Please refer to the UPS 3000 Battery Backup System Installation & Operating Guidelines for installation of the battery system. The maximum recommended distance of the UPS 3000 to the chamber is 10 metres
