Questions
Question about the product
lee cote on 2022-02-14 11:22:55 | Question:
can this be painted on wet ground |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
No, the substrate must be clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet prior to application.
Christine Holme on 2021-10-27 15:47:12 | Question:
We want to paint over some thermoplastic images and lettering on a pavement in a park. We have been recommended to use Enis-Flint Cataphos chlorinated rubber, premium. Can this be applied with a brush? Is there anything in the make up of this product that would prevent us from mixing colours to create other colours? E.g. using red and yellow mixed together to make orange Would we need to wear any personal protection. |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This paint is suitable for roller application or on larger area with a line lazer type machine. Assuming both tins of paint are thoroughly mixed prior to combining the two colours it will not cause an issue. Information regarding PPE is in the technical and safety datasheets, these can be found in the datasheets tab on the product page. Skin contact should be avoided, gloves and goggles are recommended.
Mike on 2021-08-25 12:05:46 | Question:
Hi I work on the M25 and would like to replace lane markings, stop lines and give way lines, on slip roads, most of the time its one or two line and not worth me paying £20,00 plus for two lines. Is this product able to do this and will it be suitable for motorways. Is there any training needed or can anyone just use it?? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We wouldn't recommend Cataphos for application on a busy motorway such as the M25 i'm afraid. You should really be using hot applied MMA coatings or heat applied Thermoplastics.
Ian Kendrick on 2018-07-26 12:27:45 | Question:
We are a buisy truck center and are wanting to paint yellow lines on floors within the garage but only have a small time window to get this job done , so we need a fast drying paint , can you help ? Regairds ian Kendrick |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Ennis-Flint Cataphos Chlorinated Rubber (Premium) would be an excellent choice for this application based on speed of drying. At touch dry in 10 minutes it is one of the quickest drying paints we offer. Assuming this area is bare, internal concrete, a longer life expectancy could be achieved from using something like 602 HD Line Marking Paint due to your heavy traffic but drying times would be increased (touch dry in 2 hours).
