In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

*Colours are sold in the nearest tin size but actual paint volume per tin may vary up to 10% depending on colour

Colour reproduction of the Products on the Site is limited by the technology used to deliver web pages and by the colour representation of Customer’s own monitor and computer set-up. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

Application

For new build, maintenance and repair
Mixing ratio: Base 05999 : Curing agent 95040 (4 : 1 by volume)
If required thin with Hempel Thinner 08450, max vol. 5%
Applicable by brush or airless spray (Nozzle pressure: 100 bar [1500 psi] Nozzle orifice: 0.017-0.021")
Must be applied in such an amount that the surface is just saturated. The surface should not appear "glossy" in any way
Surface temperature must be above 10°C during application and curing
To avoid condensation, apply on a clean and dry surface with a temperature that is at least 3°C above the dew point
Temperature of product must be above 15°C during application
Clean equipment after use with Hempel Tool Cleaner 99610

Limitations

The surface must not appear glossy after application, the coating shall only seal the surface. Any surplus top layer must be removed prior to application of subsequent coat
To obtain the drying time stated, it is important to maintain sufficient ventilation during application, drying and curing
If the maximum overcoating interval is exceeded, roughening of the surface is necessary to ensure intercoat adhesion
Epoxy coats have an inherent tendency of chalking in outdoor exposure. This does not affect the performance of the coating
Handle with care. Before and during use, observe safety labels on packaging and paint containers and follow all local and national safety regulations. Always consult Hempel’s Safety Data Sheet for this product along with the Product Data Sheet
