Selemix 7-414 2K Epoxy Vinyl Primer is a fast drying tintable primer which may be used in a wet-on-wet system. It can be used over a wide range of substrates and can be recoated without sanding even after a long period.
For use on Steel, Cast Iron, Light Alloys & Previously Painted Surfaces on Machinery, Signage and Metal Fabrication.
Available in over 6,700+ RAL, RAL Metallic*, BS, NCS and Selemix TIC colours.

Surface Preparation
Apply only on a clean and dry surface with a temperature above the dew point to avoid condensation. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
Steel (Blast Cleaned):
- Blast clean to ISO 8527-1 SA 2.5 with a blast profile of maximum 40 µm Rz.
- Note: A first coat of 7-413 Epoxy Primer is recommended before spraying a second coat with 7-414
Steel/Cast Iron:
- Machine sand with P80-120 discs and degrease
Light Alloys:
- Machine sand with P280-320 discs and degrease
Phosphated Steel:
- Abrade with SCOTCHBRITE® and degrease
Painted Surfaces:
- Machine sand with P240-320 discs and degrease
Do not use over wash primers or 1K synthetic primers.
Mixing
- Thoroughly mix paint before activating and check colour before use
