In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

We make every effort to list all available colours, however we also offer a colour match service which can be accessed by contacting our Technical Team on 0113 245 5450 (option 2) or emailing [email protected]

*Colours are sold in the nearest tin size but actual paint volume per tin may vary up to 10% depending on colour

Surface Preparation

Apply only on a clean and dry surface with a temperature above the dew point to avoid condensation. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

Steel:

Machine sand with P80-120 discs and degrease

Phosphated Steel:

Abrade with Scotchbrite® and degrease

Galvanised Steel:

Abrade with Scotchbrite® and degrease

Light Alloys:

Machine sand with P280-320 discs and degrease

Aluminium:

Machine sand with P280-320 discs and degrease

GRP:

Machine sand with P280 discs and degrease

Painted Surfaces:

Machine sand with P240-320 discs and degrease

Thoroughly mix paint before activating and check colour before use

Brush and Roller:

8-110/8-111 Acrylic Topcoat can be applied by brush (solvent resistant) or roller short haired mohair roller:

Activate 2.5:1 with 9-125 Hardener
Thinning with 10% of water is recommended
Apply in 2 coats with minimum 45 minutes flash-off between coats

Please Note: Lower temperature or film thickness higher than 80µm will extend drying times. Poor ventilation, temperature below 20°C, humidity above 85% RH and excessive film thickness will extend the drying times.
