Watco Liquid Waterproofer is a thoroughly effective solution for damp and wet areas. The thick, roller applied coating can be used in basements, underground garages, workshops or any areas where rising damp or water ingress is a problem. It can be applied to damp surfaces and will hold back damp or water rising under pressure. Turn damp areas into a dry working environment. The product can also be used to help keep premises dry in flood risk areas. At times of heavy rain the water table rises and water can rise through old concrete floors.
As well as holding back water, Watco Liquid Waterproofer will also contain it, so it can be used in water storage areas and decorative ponds. Create a tough textured anti slip surface using a medium pile roller, or smooth surface by finishing with a short pile or foam roller or brush.

Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be cleaned of all grease, dust, loose material and other contaminants. Steel and iron surfaces must be scale free.
All surfaces must be thoroughly wetted to achieve saturation. A minimum air and surface temperature of 5ºC is essential.
Mixing
Pour approximately three quarters of the Watco Liquid Waterproofer liquid into the bucket and add the powder. Mix using a slow speed drill and paddle mixer.
Mix for approximately 3 minutes until a lump free, creamy consistency is achieved. Add the remaining liquid and mix thoroughly.
Application
All foods should be removed during application and curing.
Whilst the surface is damp but free from standing water the first coat can be applied. Use a medium pile, or short bristle brush. The medium pile roller creates a textured, anti slip surface. This can be smoothed out by over-rollering with a foam or short pile roller before the wet coating starts to dry.
The application thickness should be no more than 1.5mm and no less than 0.5mm. The second coat may be applied as soon as the first is cured, normally 12 - 24 hours. For flooring applications a total thickness should be between 1mm - 3mm. For walls 1mm - 2mm.
To withstand 3m head of water the coating thickness should be 2mm on the floor and 1.5mm on the wall.
On flooring application a spiked roller should be used to release air and help even out the surface.
