1-component, rapid setting, high early strength, cementitious grout. Ideal for limited possession work on road or rail works, allowing rapid return to use for areas such as car parks, forecourts, loading bays, grouting base plates, etc.
- Also suitable for factory floor repairs, filling ruts or cracks, grouting in marine/tidal zones, and for fast-track installation of precast units
- Can be placed in thicknesses 10-100mm
Speedsure S Grout is a Portland cement based product giving high strength, good flow and non-shrink properties.
The mix design contains a specially formulated blend of fine cement powders, a graded high purity sand, and a synergistic blend of admixtures. The grout powder is pre-packaged in 25kg durable, moisture resistant bags ready for onsite mixing.
When mixed with water the product produces a material that develops a very rapid gain in early compressive strength giving 25N/mm2 in 2 hours.
Placed grout is non-shrink and gives structural support and good vibration resistance. Speedsure S Grout is chloride free and can be safely used in contact with reinforcing steel. The specialised mix design enables placement at low water content leading to good freeze-thaw stability, low water absorption plus resistance to oil, seawater and mild alkali attack.
Placement thickness may be in the nominal range of 10mm to 100mm. For thicker sections 6mm Aggregate should be added at a rate of up to one to one by weight of Aggregate to one part by weight of Speedsure S Grout.

Instructions For Use
Preparation
All necessary preparatory work must be completed before the grout is mixed.
Formwork should be erected and made grout-tight. The formwork must be designed with sufficient hydrostatic head to ensure grout flow into and across the grouting area. Ensure that all surfaces with which the grout will come into contact are clean and dust free. A strong concrete substrate free of all friable material will enhance a good bond. Concrete surfaces must be thoroughly soaked with water and all standing water, prior to application, must be removed.
Mixing
For each 25kg bag of Speedsure S Grout, 3 litres to 3.75 litres of water are required. Single bag mixes should be prepared using a high torque slow speed drill with a Grout Stirrer. Pour the required quantity of clean water into the mixing vessel. Slowly add the Speedsure S Grout to the water whilst continually mixing. Continue mixing for 1 minute then place grout immediately.
Placing
Speedsure S Grout should be hand poured into place immediately after mixing. Continuous placing is important, pouring from one side of the formwork until the grout appears at the opposite side of the grouting area. Do not disturb once grouting has been completed before the grout has hardened. Speedsure S Grout may be placed at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C. For temperatures above 20°C care should be taken to avoid premature setting before complete placement has been achieved.
Curing
After grouting has been completed, or when the formwork is removed, any exposed grout must be cured immediately with Polycure at the rate of 10m2/litre. During adverse weather conditions, such as high temperatures and drying winds, a second application of Polycure should be applied after the first application is dry.
