Parex Reproface is a dry packed blend of Portland Cement, selected silica sands and chemical additives to provide excellent water resistance, thixotropy and workability.
Excellent adhesion enables layers to be easily built up ready for finishing by marking to replicate the joints of the surrounding masonry or textured using a variety of finishing methods to match existing.
Parex Reproface is available in 3 main colours – red, white and yellow and a range of shades therein. Red has 4, white has 2 and yellow has 6 shades to complement the natural stone and brickwork colours most prominent within the UK.
Bespoke colours are available upon request.
Where subtle variations in the colour and texture are required, a pigment based solution can be brushed into the surface to provide additional colour to emulate natural variations.

Method Statement (for a typical repair)
1. Preparation
Cut back the existing masonry surface to remove all loose and defective material to a minimum depth of 15mm. The mortar bed should be included in this process.
Plugged stainless steel screws can be inserted into the existing masonry to assist the strength of the protruding repairs i.e. corners, corbelled brickwork etc.
2. Mixing
Parex Reproface powder should be added to clean water whilst mixing is in progress.
Water demand is between 5 - 5.5 litres per 25 kg of powder depending upon the consistency required for installation.
3. Application
3.1 Wet out the area to be repaired, but avoid standing water.
3.2 Brush on a slurry coat of Parex Reproface ensuring that all surfaces are covered. Whilst still tacky, force in repair mortar to cover the area being repaired, including the mortar joint.
3.3 When stiffening occurs, scratch the surface and add a second layer, if required.
3.4 After the Parex Reproface stiffens, cut the perimeter back to form a new joint.
4. Finishing
4.1 Weathered surfaces can be replicated by scraping the surface with the edge of a piece of broken plywood whilst still workable.
Sand finishes can be achieved with a moist sponge.
Cracks and fissures can be cut into the surface.
4.2 Colour variations can be achieved by dispersing pigment in water, then brushing this into the surface whilst still workable.
5. Curing
Mist spraying is advisable in high temperatures or strong winds.
Parex Reproface is not suitable for use in temperatures below 5°C.
