In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

Colour reproduction of the Products on the Site is limited by the technology used to deliver web pages and by the colour representation of Customer’s own monitor and computer set-up. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

Description

Jotun Barrier 90 is a two component polyamide cured zinc rich epoxy coating. It is a very high zinc dust containing product that provides excellent corrosion protection as part of a complete coating system and is to be used as primer in atmospheric environments. Suitable for carbon steel, repair of inorganic zinc silicate coating and damaged galvanised steel substrates.

Jotun Barrier 90 is suitable for structural steel and piping to be exposed to corrosive environments up to very high. Recommended for offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, mining equipment and general structural steel. Specially designed as a primer in coating systems where extended durability is required.

Approvals and Certificates

Conforms to the compositional requirements of SSPC paint 20, level 1, ISO 12944-4, BS 4652, BS 5493, and AS/NZS 3750.9.1994.
This product complies with ASTM D520 type I zinc dust.
Approved in a range of bridge specifications requiring 90% zinc dust content.
