Technical characteristics

• Physical state at 20 °C: liquid
• Basis: a mixture of natural oils
• Density: 0.93 - 1.4 g/cm³
• Flash point: > 65°C
• VOC content: 0 g/L

* These usages are merely indicative. Results depend on wood type, sanding and method of preparation. It is always recommended to make a sample in order to calculate the exact usage.

Application Information

Furniture, stairs & worktops

1. Eliminate all dust from the surface.
2. Spray Rubio Monocoat All Natural Wood Cleaner Spray on the surface.
3. Rub dry with a mop or a microfibre cloth.
4. Let the surface dry. Rinsing with clean water is not necessary.
5. Take the Rubio Monocoat Universal Maintenance Oil and add the Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C component A in the same colour with which the surface was once treated. The correct ratio is 3 parts Universal Maintenance Oil to 1 part Oil Plus 2C. Mix thoroughly.
6. Apply a small amount of oil with a brush and afterwards spread out with a red Rubio Monocoat Scrubby pad. Preferably work in zones of 2 to 4 m² (zones which you can finish within ± 15 minutes, including the next step).
7. Allow to soak in for a few minutes and massage the oil into the wood with a white Rubio Monocoat Scrubby pad.
8. Wipe away all the excess oil with a Rubio Monocoat Removal cloth for oil. The surface should look even.

Floors

1. Vacuum the surface. Eliminate dust, sand, small stones, etc.
2. Press the pump 5 times and by doing so add 10 ml of Rubio Monocoat All Natural Wood Cleaner to a bucket of 5-8L with lukewarm water (max. ca. 40°C).
3. Clean the surface with a mop or cloth. Be careful: don't leave any water on the surface, it's sufficient to clean moist.
4. Let dry. Don't walk on the floor while it's not completely dry. Rinsing with clean water is not necessary.
5. Take the Rubio Monocoat Universal Maintenance Oil and carefully add the Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C component A in the same colour with which the surface was once treated. The correct ratio is 3 parts Universal Maintenance Oil to 1 part Oil Plus 2C. Mix thoroughly.
6. Apply a small amount of Rubio Universal Maintenance Oil with a brush and afterwards spread out in the direction of the wood using an Extension Pole, Flexible Pad Holder and a red pad of 11.5 cm by 25 cm. Preferably work in zones of 5 to 10 m² (zones which you can finish within ± 15 minutes, including the next step).
7. Allow to soak in for a few minutes and massage the oil into the wood with a white pad of 11.5 by 25 cm.
8. Wipe away all the excess oil with a Rubio Monocoat Removal cloth for oil. The surface should look even.

Tips & Tricks

• WARNING - Cloths, saturated with oil, may spontaneously combust. After usage, they need to be soaked in water before disposal.
• The product may NOT be diluted under any circumstances!
• Stir the product well before application.
• When using several containers at one site, it is recommended to mix them for an even result.
• Maintenance with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C in the original colour of application is recommended as soon as the treated surface starts to show too much wear.
• Replace the Rubio Monocoat absorbent cloth timely. If the cloth no longer absorbs sufficient oil, it is time to replace it.
• The WoodCream Brushes can help you with transporting the amount of oil you need to your surface. They are not suited for actually applying the product, but will help you work cleanly and economise the usage. Depending on the type of surface you treat, you should choose either the WoodCream Brush Small or Medium. For furniture and stairs we recommend the small brush as it fits into the can of the 80 ml set (this brush is 2.54 cm wide). For floors, we recommend the medium brush because with the 0.4L set you are using a cup anyway and a larger brush is more convenient for this type of surface (this brush is 5.08 cm wide).
