Due to its high tear strength and exceptional flexibility and resistance to chemicals, Purtop 400 M is suitable as a waterproofing membrane for large roofs and bridge decks. Also, because of its special characteristics, Purtop 400 M is suitable for waterproofing both new and existing structures. Purtop 400 M is one of the waterproofing membranes used in Purtop System Roof, a dedicated system for roofs (roofs suitable for foot traffic, inverted roofs and roof gardens), and in Purtop System Deck, a dedicated system for roofs suitable for vehicles, bridge decks and viaducts.

Two-component, solvent-free, modified polyurea resins formulate
Must be applied in layers at least 2 mm thick - its very short reaction time means it may also be applied on vertical surfaces
Forms a continuous waterproof layer which adapts to any shape of substrate without cracking

ColourPicker Explained

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

*Colours are sold in the nearest tin size but actual paint volume per tin may vary up to 10% depending on colour

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

Contains no solvents and no VOC (volatile organic compounds)

Excellent tensile strength (> 12 N/mm² according to ISO 37)
Excellent tear strength (> 45 N/mm according to ISO 34-1)
High crack-bridging capacity both static and dynamic, even at low temperatures
Elongation capacity higher than 400% (ISO 37)
Excellent resistance to alkalis and diluted acids
Quick reaction of product when applied by spray: gel time at +23°C takes approx. 7 seconds
No reinforcement required
Does not form overloads on load-bearing structures
After reticulation, the product is completely inert

Complies with the principles defined in EN 1504-9 (“Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures: definitions, requirements, quality control and evaluation of conformity. General principles for use of products and systems”) and the requirements of the EN 1504-2 coating (C) according to principles PI, MC, PR, RC and IR (“Surface protection systems for concrete”)
Membrane certified for use underneath asphalt on bridge decks in compliance with ETAG 033 (please refer to Purtop 400 M System Deck System Sheet)
Resistant to root penetration according to CEN/TS 14416

Recommendations & Limitations

Do not apply Purtop 400 M onto substrates polluted with oil, grease or dirt in general
Do not apply Purtop 400 M on substrates which have not been thoroughly cleaned and primed
Do not apply Purtop 400 M on substrates subject to rising damp
A primer for damp substrates must be used whenever the level of residual humidity in the substrate is higher than 4%, such as Triblock P
Do not dilute Purtop 400 M with water or solvents
Do not use Purtop 400 M on surfaces constantly immersed in water (such as swimming pools, fountains, storage tanks)
